posted on 31 MarReady to move projects: SM Skycon vs Jaypee?
Has anyone compared Skycon Heights and Jaypee Augusta Town Home? I'm downsizing now that the kids have moved out. Which has lower maintenance and better elevator access? Should I prioritize resale value?

So, OP, what did you decide? Skycon or Jaypee? Or something else entirely?
Honestly, with the rising property rates, anything near the expressway is a good investment right now. But do your homework!
Heard the new metro line extension will benefit Sector 128. Might be a good investment opportunity.
I'm also considering downsizing. This thread is helpful. Thanks, OP!
Jaypee's reputation is definitely a concern. Even if the property is good, selling it later might be difficult.
Anyone know the current market rate in Sector 93B? Looking to sell my apartment there.
Don't just look at the price per sq ft. Factor in the location, amenities, and builder reputation. It's a long-term investment!
Elevator access is key for senior citizens. Make sure the lifts are well-maintained and there are enough of them. Also, check for wheelchair accessibility.
Forget both! Look at ATS projects. They are generally better built and have good resale value. Thoda expensive hai, but worth it in the long run.
Maintenance charges are a scam in Noida! They keep increasing them without any justification. Fight back! Form a resident welfare association (RWA).
U3, planning to invest the resale money in a fixed deposit. Security is my main concern at this age. So resale value is important in case I need the money later.
Jaypee Augusta Town Home... isn't that in Greater Noida? That's a bit far from everything, no? Skycon is at least closer to the expressway.
Don't forget to check the carpet area! Builders are notorious for promising one thing and delivering another. RERA mein complaint karna padega baad mein.
I bought in Sector 137 three years ago. Prices have almost doubled! But maintenance is a real pain. Wish I had considered that more carefully.
Possession mila kya Skycon mein? I heard there were delays.
Last I checked, possession was ongoing, but slow. Check their RERA registration number for updates.
Downsizing? Sector 128 is a good option. But maintenance charges are definitely something to look into. Skycon mein toh they charge for everything!
I've lived in a Jaypee project before. Elevator access was always an issue, especially during peak hours. Old people found it difficult. Skycon is newer, might be better in that regard.
True that! Jaypee mein lift problem toh hamesha rehta hai. Aur maintenance bhi badhate rehte hain apni marzi se.
Which Jaypee project, U5? Because I'm in Wish Town and the lifts are usually fine. Maybe it depends on the tower?
Resale value should definitely be a priority! Noida is booming right now, but who knows what the future holds? Location, builder reputation, and amenities all matter.
Bhai, Skycon ka construction quality kaisa hai? Anyone has first-hand experience?
Decent? I heard there were seepage issues in some of the flats during the monsoon. Double check, especially if you're on a lower floor.
U9, I visited a friend there last month. Seemed decent enough. But do your own due diligence. Don't just rely on what others say.
Skycon Heights vs Jaypee Augusta? Good question! I've heard Skycon's maintenance is a killer. Jaypee, on the other hand, is Jaypee... you know?
Haan yaar, Jaypee ka toh naam hi kaafi hai. Delayed projects galore! Check their RERA record before even thinking about it.
U1, what are you planning to do with the resale money? That might help decide. If you want a quick sale later, location matters a lot.
