₹1.8 Cr for a 3BHK in Sector 20 felt steep, but after 7 landlord rent hikes, I'm done. I found out about checking the project's OC status before negotiations. It gives you leverage, especially for ready-to-move-in flats; builders are often keener to close. Also, always ask about the actual resale market for similar units in the last 6 months, not just listed prices. Many are inflated. Hope this helps someone trying to escape the rent trap.

Haan bhai, same experience! Landlord ne 7% badha diya fir se, aur koi option nahi hai. This OC point is gold!
