Affordable Housing Projects: What's the real living experience?

Visited a few projects last weekend in the Affordable Housing Projects corridor. Family ke liye 3BHK dekh raha hoon, kids ki school admission bhi important hai. My wife is worried about daily commute and neighbourhood safety. Brochures sab accha dikhate hain, but what's the actual ground reality living there? Traffic, facilities ka issue kitna hai?
