Based in Dubai. Amrapali Green Valley promised OC in 2016, still waiting! Filed for a refund, but no response. Power of attorney is ready. Anyone else face this? What are my options?

Just curious, how much did you invest in Green Valley back then? And what's the current market rate in that area?
Current market rate is irrelevant. The project is stalled. No point in comparing it to other areas.
He's probably trying to estimate the potential loss. Understanding the initial investment helps.
Even if the market rate is high, you can't sell something that doesn't exist. So, it's just a theoretical number.
So, what's the next step you're planning to take? RERA complaint? Lawyer? Keep us updated.
Amrapali is a prime example of why due diligence is so important. Check, double-check, and triple-check before investing. Even then, you can get screwed. But at least you tried!
This Amrapali saga is a black mark on the entire real estate industry. It's going to take a long time to rebuild trust.
Based in Dubai and invested in Amrapali... that's a tough one. The distance makes it even harder to manage. Stay strong, bhai.
RERA complaint is a must. Also, explore consumer court options. Don't give up without a fight.
I bought a resale in Sector 150 last year. Paying EMI and rent. Double whammy! But at least I have a roof over my head. Lesson learned: never trust under-construction projects.
Market is crazy right now. Rates are up, especially after the new metro line extension. But still, be careful with these builders. Check their RERA registration and track record properly.
My cousin lost a lot of money in Amrapali. He's still fighting in court. It's a long and painful process. Be prepared for a marathon.
POA ready hai toh at least you have someone on the ground who can run around. Keep all documents safe and organized. That's crucial.
Anyone know what percentage of the refund Amrapali allottees are likely to get, if anything at all?
Haan, even a small amount is better than nothing. Treat it as a sunk cost and move on. Mentally, it's better.
U6, it's anyone's guess. Depends on how much they recover from the assets and how many claimants there are. Don't expect 100%.
Forget percentage, bhai. Just hope for some recovery. Even 20-30% would be a miracle.
Amrapali... just the name gives me shivers. I almost booked in Dream Valley. Thank God I didn't!
Guys, does anyone know what's happening with the projects taken over by NBCC? Any progress there?
U13, NBCC is slowly working on them. But don't expect miracles. It's going to take years. Some projects are further along than others.
Heard that some towers in some projects might get possession by end of next year. But don't hold your breath. Builder ne phir se date extend kar diya lol
NBCC is doing a decent job considering the mess they inherited. But the pace is slow. Very slow.
Sector 75 mein bhi Amrapali ka ek project tha. Kya haal hai uska?
I know someone who invested in Amrapali Sapphire. Same story. OC promised in 2015, still nothing. They are living in rented accommodation. So frustrating!
Power of Attorney is good. Make sure your representative here is aggressive and follows up regularly. Koi toh sunwai honi chahiye.
Which sector is Green Valley in? And what floor did you book? Corner unit or not?
U9, that's irrelevant now. Amrapali is bankrupt. Doesn't matter which floor or unit. The issue is getting the refund.
U9, maybe he's trying to assess the market value if there's even a slight chance of resale? Still a long shot though.
Bhai, Amrapali! Another one bites the dust. Green Valley toh I remember hearing about years ago. Power of Attorney ready hai, good. You'll need it. Did you register your complaint with RERA? That's step one.
NRI hona is not easy yaar. You trust these builders with your hard-earned money and they do this. My heart goes out to you. I invested in Noida Extension, almost same story.
Refund? Good luck with that! Amrapali ka toh sab kuch bik gaya na? Recovery is going to be a long process. Did you hire a lawyer? You'll need one.
Exactly! Refund milna is like winning the lottery. But still file the RERA complaint, at least you're officially on record.
U3, you're right. Lawyer is a must. These guys know all the loopholes. Fight karna padega bhai!
RERA complaint file karne se kuch nahi hota, bhai. I filed mine 2 years ago, still waiting for a hearing date. But still, do it. It's a formality.
