Anand Apartment security feels off, need opinions
Anand Apartment – abhi kuch mahine pehle hi move kiya hai, but security ko leke thoda concerned hoon. Visitor management system itna strict nahi lagta, aur guards bhi kaafi casual hain. CCTV coverage bhi har jagah nahi hai, especially parking mein. Kya kisi aur ko bhi ye feel hua hai? Meri family thodi nervous rehti hai. Should I raise this with the RWA more aggressively ya ye normal hai for new societies? Parking allocation bhi lottery system hai, which is a mess. What are your experiences?

I faced a similar situation in my previous rental flat in Alaknanda. The building management was so lax, ek baar toh we had a minor break-in attempt. After that, I became super vigilant about security when buying. Don't let anyone tell you it's normal. If you're paying such a premium, security should be non-negotiable. Raise it with the RWA, but also document everything – photos, emails, meeting minutes. It helps in the long run.
Sahi baat hai.
Your Alaknanda experience sounds scary. I was considering a project in Anand Vihar, and the sales guy was so vague about security. Now I'm extra cautious. It seems like we have to do all the due diligence ourselves.
Parking mein lottery system? That sounds like a nightmare. Aur security bhi low. ₹95 L – ₹1.3 Cr for this kind of setup? Is this normal for a new project in Delhi these days?
Exactly! It's ridiculous. Paying so much and still worrying about basic safety. What's the point then?
Sadly, with current market conditions in Delhi, especially for new construction, prices are quite high. Builders often cut corners on amenities like security to keep costs down or maximize profits. ₹95 L – ₹1.3 Cr is becoming the entry point for decent sized flats, but 'decent' doesn't always mean secure. You really have to scrutinize everything.
Dekho, most new projects mein ye sab common hai, especially agar builder ka track record average ho. ₹95 L – ₹1.3 Cr ke range mein toh you expect top-notch security, but often it's just basic. RWA ko toh bolna hi padega, warna they won't act. Sometimes even the RWA members are from the builder's side initially.
Bhai, I totally get your concern. We moved into a new society near Dwarka last year, aur similar issues faced kiye. Starting mein sab builders promise karte hain but handover ke baad they wash their hands off. Casual guards and patchy CCTV are serious red flags. You are right to be worried, family ki safety sabse pehle.

Definitely raise it with the RWA, but don't just complain. Go prepared with solutions. Suggest specific vendors for visitor management, or show examples of better CCTV coverage from other societies. Sometimes, they just need a push and a direction. Also, check your builder-buyer agreement for security clauses. Often, it's vaguely worded.
RWA ko aggressively raise karna hi padega. Otherwise, they'll just keep delaying. Ye "normal hai" bolke log bas ignore karte hain. You're paying a lot of money, you deserve proper security.
Haan bhai, same experience. Mere friend ne bhi Anand Apartment mein liya hai, he mentioned parking issues and cameras not working in the basement.
