Are Rajkot landlords really holding back deposits?
I'm looking to shift from my current rental in Krishna Kunj and this deposit issue is stressing me out. My landlord is making up charges for 'wear and tear' jo bilkul nahi hai. I work in real estate, so I know how things are supposed to be, but being a tenant is a whole different ballgame. I've heard so many horror stories about landlords in Mota Mava and University Road refusing to return full deposits. Is this a common practice here? Kya koi specific clauses hote hain jo tenant ko protect karein? Also, who's usually responsible for appliance repairs like AC or geyser breakdown? My current agreement says tenant, which feels unfair for normal usage. Any advice on red flags to look for before signing a new lease? Don't want to get stuck again.
