Are we overhyping RERA's real investor protection?

Did a site visit to Prestige City last week. Everyone glorifies RERA, but checking actual RERA registration details and property title docs is what truly saves investors. Most skip it. Change my mind.

Totally agree with the post! RERA sounds great on paper, but I almost got burned last year. Was looking at an old property near Bangalore Fort that a builder was 'redeveloping'. Their RERA details looked fine, but a local lawyer I consulted found major issues with the land title – multiple owners, old disputes. If I hadn't done that extra check, mera paisa phans jaata. Prestige ka naam toh bada hai, but even for them, due diligence is a must.
