Budget finalised, loan pre-approved — now I'm just stuck seeing how bad construction quality is becoming. I work in real estate, I know the super area vs carpet area games, but seeing actual cracks and fitting issues at possession is something else. It's not just about the initial cost; poor construction means higher maintenance bills and a nightmare for resale later on. I'm looking at Assotech Yarrow Apartments, and even there, some units have issues. I'm not sure if it's worth it. Are builders just rushing things now? What about the promised amenities? They look great in brochures but often turn into ghost facilities after a year. Does anyone think these things actually drive premium pricing or are they just a marketing gimmick? I'm worried about attracting good tenants with these kinds of issues down the line. What's your experience been like with long-term maintenance and actual quality?
