Bangalore families: Are we overpaying for brand names?

Did a site visit to both Prestige Ferns Residency and Windsor Township Phase 3 on Saturday and honestly wasn't expecting this. Everyone glorifies Prestige Ferns for its premium tag, but nobody talks about the insane total cost of ownership. Matlab, stamp duty, interiors sab add karke itna zyada ho jaata hai. Windsor Township Phase 3, on the other hand, seems to have a much better end-user to investor ratio, which is huge for kids' safety aur community feel. Prestige mein toh I felt like it's mostly investors. For a family upgrading, isn't a strong community more important than just brand name? Change my mind.
