Since last Diwali, I've been looking at 2BHKs around Nayandahalli, mostly Prestige projects. Initial quotes for a 2BHK were around ₹1.2 Cr, jo sunke I thought, 'chalo, manage ho jayega'. But yaar, now I'm seeing the actual all-in cost. Builder ne base price toh bata diya, but then registration, stamp duty, OC, CC, PLC for a lake-facing unit, parking... it's like another 15-20% extra. My parents keep saying these are standard, but honestly I had no idea it adds up so much. Some builders even quote super area, not carpet, which makes the per sqft rate seem lower. Am I the only one who feels this is a bit misleading? How do you guys manage these hidden costs? Koi advice on what else to expect before possession?
