posted on 15 MayBangalore stamp duty is an investor's biggest hidden cost
My property search for Bangalore has been going on for months, and I'm based in Dubai, so site visits aren't easy. I'm looking at a 2BHK in Ulsoor, maybe with Klassik Enterprises, around ₹1.3 Cr. Builder ne jo price diya, usmein stamp duty aur registration ka kitna additional lag jaata hai? I heard Bangalore mein yeh kaafi high hai. For an NRI investor, is there any specific nuance ya extra charges? Kitna percentage of property value should I factor in for these charges? What's your experience with the actual total cost of acquisition?

Haan bhai, Bangalore mein toh stamp duty kaat hi leti hai. 1.3 Cr pe toh bahut badi rakam ban jaati hai. NRI ke liye shayad kuch alag rules na ho, but general buyer ke liye bhi it's a huge burden. Minimum 5-6% toh pakad ke chalo property value ka. Builders sometimes quote 'all inclusive' but that rarely includes stamp duty and registration. You need to clarify this upfront.
True that, U1. Builders ki 'all inclusive
