Bangalore's 'green' projects are just concrete jungles
Did a site visit to DNR Arista Phase 1 last weekend and honestly, the 'green space' claims feel like a total joke. Everyone glorifies these projects for their 'open areas' but nobody talks about how cramped they actually are for kids to properly play. My wife's priority is a safe, spacious place for our growing kids, not just a patch of manicured grass next to a busy road. Brochure photos vs. reality are miles apart. Matlab, where do kids actually play without getting hit? And parking? They promise two slots but it's always a lottery system or some weird PLC charge for a decent spot. Is it just me or do builders deliberately over-promise on basics? Change my mind, but I think these 'green' projects are just concrete jungles with a few shrubs. Disagree? Tell me why.

Exactly my experience with a project near Aavalahalli a couple of years back. They promised a huge clubhouse and vast open spaces. After possession, the clubhouse was half-done, and the 'open space' was a muddy patch next to the sewage treatment plant! My kids have to play inside mostly. Builders just use these terms as marketing gimmicks. This ₹2.1 Cr – ₹
Hmm, interesting perspective. I was actually considering DNR Arista Phase 1. But the 'concrete jungle' part is concerning. Has anyone checked their RERA details? What's the exact possession date for this phase? On paper, it looks good, but the ground reality is always different.
Thanks for the RERA info! That's helpful. But still, the actual feel matters more than dates.
Yes, I checked. DNR Arista Phase 1 (RERA: TOR/PRM/KA/RERA/1251/446/PR/230419/001674) has a possession date of 2024-12-01. Total units are 241. So, it's completed and ready for possession soon.
Totally feel you, OP! DNR Arista ki site visit ke baad mera bhi yahi haal tha. They show these grand visuals, but actual main space itna congested lagta hai. My biggest concern is also for kids – where will they play safely with cars zipping around? Aur parking ka toh jhol hai hi. For ₹2.1 Cr – ₹3.9 Cr, I expect proper amenities, not just a few potted plants they call 'greenery'. It’s like they just want to tick a box for RERA.
Totally agree with the parking issue. What alternatives did you consider after DNR Arista if this didn't work out? I'm also looking for something similar budget-wise but with actual play areas.
Haan bhai, same experience in another project near Kadugodi. Greenery ke naam pe bas char ghaas ke tukde.
