Honestly, downsizing after decades feels strange. Kids are gone, so we're eyeing Bel Colony 2BHKs. Good hospitals nearby are critical. What's the medical facility situation for seniors there? Any recommendations?

Dekho, every area has its pros and cons. Bel Colony has great connectivity and green spaces, which is good for seniors' quality of life. But yes, for top-tier multi-specialty hospitals, you do have to travel a bit. It boils down to what your priority is – proximity to family, budget, or medical access. Can't have everything perfect.
U9, that's true. It's always a trade-off. But for seniors, health is usually the top priority. What did the original poster decide then? Did they find a good compromise or look completely elsewhere?
The hospital issue is a big concern for sure. But also, what about the property prices? Bel Colony mein 2BHKs ka price bahut pump ho gaya hai recently. Is it even worth paying such a premium when basic facilities like good hospitals are still a question mark? I'm seeing better value in Abhay Khand.
U7, Abhay Khand mein prices Bel Colony se thode better hain, maybe around 55-65 lakhs for a decent 2BHK depending on the builder. And medical facilities are definitely superior. You have Max Vaishali and Yashoda Indirapuram much closer, plus several good clinics. My parents live there and haven't faced any issues. For seniors, Ahinsa Khand II is also a good option for similar reasons.
Sahi kaha U6! Abhay Khand mein kya rates chal rahe hain 2BHK ke? Aur wahan hospitals ka kya scene hai?
Yaar, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration. While Max or Fortis jaise big names nahi hain, Yashoda Hospital is quite decent, especially for general care. And for emergencies, Vaishali or Indirapuram ke hospitals hardly 15-20 mins door hain. My uncle had a knee surgery at Yashoda last year and the experience was fine. It's not totally isolated.
Exactly! U4 is spot on. Emergency mein time is everything. Bel Colony mein options bahut limited hain.
U3, I respectfully disagree. Yashoda is okay for general stuff but for critical care, it often refers out. My cousin's grandmother needed urgent cardiac care last month, and they had to rush her all the way to Fortis Noida. That 20 min drive can be life-threatening for seniors. Bel Colony ki connectivity is good, but medical infrastructure is still lagging. For seniors, on-the-spot, high-quality care is paramount.
Haan bhai, Bel Colony mein achhe multispecialty hospitals ki kami toh hai. Sirf clinics hain, bade cases ke liye door jaana padta hai.
Totally agree with the post! My parents also looked at Bel Colony and the hospital situation was a major red flag for us. Especially for seniors, reliable healthcare is non-negotiable. We ended up looking elsewhere because of this.
