What's the real deal with builder delivery timelines in Bengaluru? I'm so fed up of renting, landlord raised rent again, finally looking to buy a 2BHK in Whitefield or Sarjapur. I'm seeing projects from Prestige and Brigade, but heard horror stories about delays and hidden charges. Is it true they hit you with huge PLC or maintenance deposits right before possession? My budget is around ₹1.2 Cr. Should I even trust their promised completion dates? Anyone got recent experiences or advice?

Yaar, you hit the nail on the head! Prestige projects look so good on paper but my friend booked in Prestige Shantiniketan and the delays were insane. He was promised possession in 2020, got it in mid-2022. And the 'final' payment had so many hidden charges for amenities he didn't even want. Be very careful with those timelines and extra costs, especially if you're budget-conscious like me.
