Bengaluru negotiation: Are builders just playing games with 'spot discounts'?
Negotiation in Bengaluru new builds is a complete illusion, especially with builders like Pride And Expert. I just moved into my 3BHK in Chansandra last month, and honestly, trying to get them to budge on the ₹1.4 Cr price was a joke. They offer 'spot discounts' but it feels like they just inflate the base price first. Is it just me, or do builders here just refuse to negotiate meaningfully? Then, possession hits you with all these hidden charges. Society formation, electricity connection, water infrastructure — things nobody tells you about when you're signing. It added a solid few lakhs. Should I have gone for a construction-linked plan instead of paying more upfront? Did I miss leveraging something there? Change my mind if you actually managed to get a significant discount.

Oh god, the hidden charges! This hit me hard too. I booked a 2BHK in Adigara Kallahalli last year, and thought I had budgeted everything. But
Totally relatable, yaar! I'm looking at properties in Akshayanagar and the 'spot discount' thing feels like a joke. They show a higher price, then reduce it to the actual market rate and call it a discount. Builders are just playing with our minds.
Exactly! I saw a project in Aavalahalli where they first quoted 1.3 Cr, then after 'negotiation', it became 1.2 Cr with a 'limited time offer'. It was the same price they quoted to my friend a month ago. Pure drama!
Sahi keh rahe ho U1! My broker even hinted that the base price is already inflated. It's so frustrating.
