Bengaluru property: Legal verification and RERA, what to check?
Builder delays in Bengaluru are getting out of hand, need to know my legal options. I'm currently in a 2BHK near Marathahalli, thinking of upgrading to a 3BHK or a villa, maybe around Sarjapur Road or Kanakapura. Already have one home loan, so can't afford any legal mess this time. Keya Homes aur Prestige City jaise projects dekhe hain, but I'm super wary about timelines. How do you guys actually check a project's RERA registration? Is it just checking the number or are there red flags to look for on the RERA site itself? Also, title verification mein kya steps hain jo log miss kar jaate hain? Bahut important hai, especially with builder-buyer agreements jismein saare clauses builder ke favour mein hote hain. If a builder delays possession, RERA mein kya real options hain, I mean, is it effective ya bas paperwork hai? Don't want to get stuck like some friends who waited years. Any advice on what docs to scrutinize before signing anything?
