posted on 7 MayBengaluru property's real cost is always hidden
Since January I've been eyeing a 2BHK in Hebbal Kempapura. Fed up of renting, finally taking the plunge. Mantri Developers project looks good. Quoted price feels like just the start. What are the *real* all-in costs people faced? Stamp duty, registration, PLC, parking... Any hidden charges at possession? Community thoughts?

Totally agree with you, U1! Yeh hidden costs wala game toh standard hai in Bangalore. I bought a 3BHK in Akshayanagar last year, and my 'all-inclusive' price suddenly jumped by almost 10-12% by the time of possession. They added charges for power backup, club membership, even something called 'preferential location charges' for a unit that wasn't even premium! My advice is to factor in at least 15-20% extra over the quoted price for all these 'surprises'. Don't trust the sales guy's initial figures.
Bhai, Mantri? Be very careful. Their quoted price is always just the tip of the iceberg. I've heard so many stories about their projects, especially around North Bangalore. Make sure you get everything in writing, down to the last penny, before signing anything. Hidden charges will definitely crop up.
