Finding a good 3BHK for the family is tough enough, but the true costs are shocking. We're looking at Sector 53, maybe Sidhartha projects, but the stamp duty and registration seem huge on top of the property price. Are there other big hidden charges or unexpected fees at possession that I'm missing? My wife's worried about the total outgo.

Haan yaar, U2 is right. Mera toh experience aur bhi bura tha. I booked a 3BHK in Badshahpur two years back, builder ne bola all-inclusive hai. But then final payment pe EDC/IDC, power backup installation charges, even car parking ke extra paise maang liye. Total bill 18% upar chala gaya. Sidhartha ka toh pata nahi but check everything in writing.
U4, fight toh kiya, but builder bolta hai 'yeh government charges hain' ya 'society rules hain'. End mein compromise karna pada. Builders ke paas sab answers ready hote hain. Bahut frustration hoti hai.
18% extra? That's a huge jump! Did you manage to fight any of those charges or was it just pay up?
Totally agree bhai! Sticker price toh bas trailer hota hai. Actual movie toh possession ke time shuru hoti hai. Apart from stamp duty and registration, there's IFMS, club membership, PLC (Preferential Location Charges) if you're on a higher floor or facing a park. Yeh sab milake 10-15% extra pakad ke chalo.
