Brokers just inflate prices, don't they?
My lease ends in 3 months, and I'm finally taking the plunge after years of renting. Landlord hiked the rent again, so the EMI vs rent math is hitting hard now. I'm looking at a 3BHK in Attapur, maybe Salarpuria Sattva or something similar, budget around ₹1.2 Cr. I've been talking to a few brokers, but also visited some builder sites directly. Honestly not sure if going through a broker actually gets you a better deal, or if they just add their cut. Some say brokers can get spot discounts directly from builders. Is that true? Or am I better off negotiating directly with Salarpuria Sattva's sales team? Does price negotiation even work in Hyderabad these days, especially with prices rising? With a 3BHK costing ₹1.2 Cr, how much can one realistically expect to knock off? Or do builders like Salarpuria Sattva just have a 'no price drop' policy? Any tips on how to read their move? Any experiences getting a better deal directly vs through a broker?
