Since last month I've been looking for a rental flat near Hero Honda Chowk. I work in real estate, but finding a good 2BHK for myself is a different game, yaar. Brokers ka commission seems crazy, they're asking 1.5-2 months rent just for showing flats. Earlier it was just one month. Is it still possible to find good places directly from landlords in Sectors 82-84? Or have brokers completely gatekept the market now? Also, what about those hidden charges or weird clauses landlords sometimes add? Any red flags to watch out for before signing a lease? Not sure if it's just me facing this.

Exactly what I was thinking! I've been looking in Sectors 83-84 for a 2BHK and the broker commission quotes are insane. Plus, they show you three bad flats and then expect you to commit. Toh kya ab direct landlord milna impossible ho gaya hai Gurugram mein?
NoBroker is the only way out sometimes, but even there, you'll find brokers posing as owners. Be careful!
Impossible toh nahi, but bahut mushkil ho gaya hai. Most landlords ab brokers ke through hi jaate hain to avoid hassle. You might find some direct listings on Facebook groups or apps like NoBroker, but the good ones go super fast. I found mine in Basai after weeks of searching, but it was pure luck and persistence.
Bhai, you're not alone! I'm facing the exact same issue in Sector 82. Brokers literally act like they own the inventory. 1.5-2 months ka commission is daylight robbery, especially when they just copy-paste listings from 99acres. Pehle toh 1 month standard hota tha, ab toh lagta hai they've formed a syndicate.
Haan, it's not just you. The market has become super aggressive for rentals, especially for good societies. Brokers know demand is high, so they're hiking up their charges. I even saw one demanding 2 months for a flat near Airport Road (Gurgaon side) that wasn't even that great.
Totally agree with this! Mera bhi same experience hai. Hero Honda Chowk ke paas toh aur bhi bura haal hai, they are so adamant on their commission.
