Buying for myself: Rajkot's real 'all-in' price dilemma
Since last year I've been eyeing a 3BHK in Rajkot, probably around Krishna Kunj. I'm in real estate myself, so I thought I knew the game, but buying for myself is a whole different ballgame. Builders like Ansal API quote a price, but the final 'all-in' cost with stamp duty and registration feels like a punch. I'm talking about 6-7% extra just for those. My budget is around ₹90L. How much room is there really to negotiate on the *total* price, not just the base property cost? Sometimes it feels like they bake in these costs and then offer a 'discount' that just covers them. Are there any hidden charges related to these legal fees I should watch out for at possession? Or ways to save on the stamp duty part? Not sure if it's even negotiable. Any specific tips for Rajkot? Hope this helps someone else too.

Exactly! I had a terrible experience with a builder near 150
Totally relate yaar! I'm also eyeing a 3BHK in Rajkot, and the gap between quoted price and actual 'all-in' is shocking. Builders play this game where they show a good base price, but then stamp duty, registration, MSEDCL charges, society formation fees, GST... it just keeps adding up. My 80L budget looks like 70L after all this.
