Chandigarh investors: Real value of green spaces and security?
Did a site visit to Raheja Winterwoods last weekend. I'm currently in a 2BHK in Zirakpur and thinking of upgrading to a 3BHK or villa. Already have a home loan, so resale value and tenant attraction are super important for me. They show amazing green areas and open spaces in their brochures. But on-site, sometimes it feels like just small patches between huge towers. Is the actual landscaping in projects like Winterwoods really good? Matlab, is it usable open space or just for aesthetics? Does real, practical green space actually attract better tenants or give a good resale premium? Also curious about security systems. How effective are the CCTVs and visitor management systems in practice? Is it genuinely secure? And parking allocation – is it reserved and fair, or will it be a daily fight for spots? For investors, these things matter a lot for long-term value. What's your experience, community?
