posted on 15 MayChandigarh property: Total cost shocker, need advice
Budget finalised, loan pre-approved for my first flat in Chandigarh, but I'm getting lost in all the extra costs beyond the base price. I'm looking at a 3BHK in Sector 18D, maybe with Manohar Singh and Company, and the base price seemed okay, around ₹1.2Cr. But then the broker mentioned stamp duty, registration, PLC, parking, and now I'm hearing about maintenance deposits and even some 'club membership' charges. Honestly, I had no idea these things add so much. It feels like another 10-15% on top. Is there a way to negotiate any of these, especially stamp duty? What other hidden charges should I prepare for before possession? Just trying to figure out the actual total cost for my investment plan. Any advice on keeping these costs down?
