Chandigarh's resale market ignores older properties
Okay I'll be honest — selling our large 3BHK in Sector 44 after the children moved out is proving more challenging than anticipated. We're now seeking a compact, low-maintenance 2BHK flat, ideally with an elevator, perhaps in Mohali or New Chandigarh. My budget is around ₹1.2 Cr. The resale market for older, larger properties feels quite sluggish, while new projects from builders like Godrej Properties or SBP Group in Aerocity seem to move quickly. Are others finding the same? It makes me wonder if buyers are only interested in new construction now. What are your experiences with reselling older properties in Chandigarh? Also, which areas offer good low-maintenance flats near reliable hospitals? I’m unsure if advertised prices for new 2BHKs are realistic for quality. Any insights on navigating this transition would be appreciated.
