Kharar — I'm based in Dubai and trying to understand the ground reality there for investment. Brochures make it sound great, but what's it actually like for daily life? I can't do a site inspection myself, so I'm relying on community insights. Worried about the commute, especially during peak hours towards Chandigarh. Is the infrastructure holding up, like water supply and power backup? What about the hidden costs developers don't mention? Also, honestly, legal clarity for NRIs for buying and then rental management from abroad is a big concern. Setting up a power of attorney and finding a reliable property manager feels like a huge task. Any ground-level tips or things I should know before committing? Hope this helps someone else too.

Bhai, Kharar is a mixed bag, honestly. Brochures always paint a rosy picture. Commute to Chandigarh, especially IT Park side or Mohali, during peak hours is a nightmare. It's getting worse, not better. Daily life ke liye, you'll be spending a lot of time stuck in traffic. I'm also a first-time buyer and this is my biggest worry.
Totally agree with you! Commute is a killer. Better to look at New Chandigarh or even some pockets in Mullan
