Just moved into my new flat and parking ka issue samajh aa gaya. Keya Life mein covered parking milta hai, but space chhota lagta hai for SUVs. Prestige City mein toh under-construction hai, they promise 1.5 car park, but I'm doubtful. Carpet area bhi kam laga compared to what they show. Kya others agree?

Prestige City ka toh wait hi kar raha hoon. Is the 1.5 car park claim really just marketing gimmick?
My friend works in real estate, and he told me that for under-construction projects, especially in prime areas like where Prestige City is coming up, builders often over-promise. The real challenge comes during possession. Always verify the actual space allocated in the sale deed and not just the marketing material. Bengaluru market mein competition bahut hai, so they try to attract with such claims.
Prestige City is still under construction, so hard to say for sure about parking. But generally, the '1.5 car park' is usually for one full-size car and one compact car. SUVs will struggle, especially if it's a tight basement.
Same story with carpet area! My friend bought a flat in Aavalahalli, builder showed 1200 sqft carpet, but actual usable space after walls and common areas was closer to 1050 sqft. It's a common trick. How much did they quote for Keya Life?
Bhai, Keya Life By The Lake is already completed, it's not under construction like Prestige. I remember checking it out last year. The RERA number is PRM/KA/RERA/1251/309/PR/210119/003787. Their units are super premium, ₹4.0 Cr – ₹5.9 Cr range. For that price, you expect proper parking, not 'chhota lagta hai' type. This is why I'm so hesitant to buy right now, market mein trust issue bahut hai.
Keya Life By The Lake, right? Isn't that project super expensive? What's their RERA status for parking claims?
Exactly! For that price, parking should be XL size. No compromises.
Yes, that's Keya Life. U3 is right, it's completed and super high-end, as he mentioned the price range of ₹4.0 Cr – ₹5.9 Cr. For parking claims, RERA usually defines the area but builders manipulate how they measure 'car park'. Often, 1.5 car park means one standard slot and a tiny space for a bike or a very small car, not two proper cars. You need to check the actual layout plan from RERA documents, not just the brochure.
Totally agree with you! Parking is a nightmare. I saw a flat in Agrahara Layout, they promised covered parking but it was just a glorified open space, barely fits a sedan. SUVs toh bhool jao. Builders just want to show a checkmark.
Sahi keh rahe ho. My cousin faced this in Akshayanagar. Parking slots are often designed for small cars, not the SUVs everyone owns now. It's a huge oversight by builders, or maybe intentional to squeeze more units.
