posted on 14 MayDaily life in Sector 142: My reality check
Okay, I'll be honest – I completely underestimated how much daily convenience matters when looking at property. I'm checking out Sector 142 in Noida Extension, and prices seem okay for a 2BHK. But when I visited, I noticed local sabzi mandi ya achhe supermarkets ka thoda issue hai. Delivery apps toh hain but everyday groceries ka kya? Also, parking kaafi tight lag rahi thi, especially for visitors. Is this just a temporary thing, ya yahan ka daily life aisa hi hai? Any residents here jo bata sakein about the food scene and market availability? And parking, sach mein itna tough hai kya? Ab samajh nahi aa raha, is it manageable long term?

Dekho, Sector 142 is definitely a developing area. For daily groceries, you'll find smaller kirana shops within or just outside societies, but for a proper supermarket like DMart or More, you might have to drive to Sector 137 or further. Parking is indeed an issue in many new societies across Noida Extension, especially for visitors. Some societies are better managed than others regarding this. My advice would be to visit during peak hours (evening) and check the ground reality yourself, not just rely on sales pitches. It's manageable if you're okay with driving a bit for bigger shopping runs.
Current market conditions mein builders bas connectivity aur future potential dikhate hain. Ground reality koi nahi batata. Basic needs hi poori nahi ho rahi toh kya fayda aise ghar ka? Noida mein prices badh rahe hain, but facilities ka kya? It's a real dilemma for first-time buyers like us.
Yaar, I booked a flat in Sector 142 with XYZ Builder two years ago, thinking connectivity is great. But your point about basic amenities is spot on. My sister lives in Alpha I Greater Noida and wahan toh sab kuch hai walking distance pe. Yahan toh lagta hai car ke bina kuch nahi. Aur parking? Builder ne bola tha ample visitor parking, but construction site pe toh gaadi khadi karne ki bhi jagah nahi. Is the situation better in the fully occupied societies, ya wahan bhi struggle hai?
Exactly! I checked out a project in Alistonia Estate recently, and even there, despite being a bit older, parking was a mess. It's not just 142, it's a general problem in many new developments. The FSI norms probably don't push for enough visitor parking. Also, local vendors often encroach, making it worse.
Haan yaar, visitors ke liye parking ek headache hai. Builders bas basement mein resident parking de dete hain, visitors ka sochte hi nahi.
To answer your question about parking, bhai, fully occupied societies mein bhi visitor parking ka haal theek nahi hai. Especially weekends pe toh gaadi road pe hi park karni padti hai. Residents ko allotted parking milti hai, but guests ke liye it's a mess. My society near Ajayabpur faces similar issues.
Bhai, thoda patience rakho. Naya area hai, development ho jayega. Online delivery services toh hain hi, aur chote kirana stores bhi khul rahe hain. It's not that bad.
Totally agree with your point about daily convenience. I visited Sector 142 last month for a 3BHK and felt the same. Sabzi mandi toh door ki baat, even a decent general store was hard to find. Lagta hai sab online delivery pe hi depend karna padega.
Exactly! And the quality of fresh produce from online apps can be hit or miss. Nothing beats a good local sabzi mandi. That's why I'm still hesitant about Sector 142, even with the good prices for a 2BHK.
Sahi kaha bhai! Online delivery pe poora depend karna risky hai, especially for fresh produce. Quality ka bhi issue rehta hai.
