Shankar Road – we've called this area home for decades. But with the kids finally moved out, we're selling our big house and just want to rent something compact. A 2BHK, maybe a 1.5Cr budget for the sale, so rental budget is comfortable. Honestly, the rental market is crazy. I'm seeing rents in places like Dwarka and Rohini up 30-40% in two years. Is this justified? Will it ever stabilize? We need a good society, elevator, low maintenance, and hospital access. Vasant Kunj or Greater Kailash might be too pricey now. What areas offer a good balance for empty nesters? And what about semi-furnished vs bare shell – what's the actual value for renters? Any experiences with this rent surge?
