DLF Phase 3: My first home dilemma, safety and monsoon worries

Visited DLF Phase 3 this Saturday, looking at some 2BHK options. Honestly, the location is great for commute to Cyber Hub and all, but I'm a bit concerned about a couple of things. My parents keep asking about safety, especially since I'll be living alone. How is it really at night? Like, coming home late from work, is it generally safe for women? Also, I heard Gurgaon has waterlogging issues during monsoon. Does DLF Phase 3 get badly affected? I saw some older pictures online and it looked pretty bad. Not sure if that's still the case now with new infrastructure. Any long-term residents here who can share their real experience on these points? Am I overthinking this, or are these valid concerns for a first-time buyer?
