2.5 years in Sector 48 now, eyeing a 3BHK in DLF Phase I. Heard parking is a nightmare there, especially for guests. Is it really that bad daily?

I think it depends on which specific pocket of Phase I you're looking at. Some blocks are worse than others, especially those near commercial areas or popular markets. Have you pinpointed a specific society or block yet? That might help narrow down the parking situation.
Exactly! My cousin lives in a builder floor in Phase I, near that Baliawas road stretch. Once my car got towed because I parked it 'wrongly' on the street, trying to visit him.
U9, you're right. If it's something like DLF Qutub Enclave or some older independent floors, parking is a huge challenge. But if it's a newer high-rise, they usually have basement parking, though guest parking is still limited. What kind of 3BHK are you looking for?
Builder ne bas project bech diya, parking ka kaun sochega! Lol. Happens everywhere.
Honestly, is it really that bad? I mean, it's DLF Phase I, prime location. Thodi parking ki problem hogi but it can't be a 'nightmare' daily, right? Maybe you should consider areas like Sector 65, wahan thoda open space mil jaayega. Budget mein bhi shayad thoda relief mile.
Sahi keh rahe ho. Badshahpur side dekh lo, wahan still some breathing room hai.
U5, trust me, it *is* that bad. Prime location doesn't magically create parking spots. The older infrastructure wasn't designed for today's car ownership levels. Plus, with current Gurugram market conditions, finding a good 3BHK in Phase I within a reasonable budget is tough, especially if you want dedicated parking. You end up paying a premium for a headache.
Totally agree with you U1. I went to a party last month near Galleria Market and it took me almost 45 minutes to find a spot. Ended up parking like half a km away and walking. Is it better if you're in an older building vs a newer one? Or is it equally bad everywhere?
Same experience. Airport Road side toh phir bhi thoda easy hai, but Phase I is just packed.
U2, it's pretty much equally bad everywhere in Phase I, whether old or new. The older ones might have a bit more space but it's still not enough for the density. Best bet is to check if the specific building you're looking at has dedicated visitor parking or if it's all street parking.
Haan bhai, DLF Phase I mein parking ka issue toh hai. Mere ek friend rehta hai wahan, uski toh daily ki headache hai. Guest parking toh bhool hi jao, society ke andar hi jagah nahi milti sometimes.
