Downsizing in Faridabad: My Luxury Homes dilemma
Spent the whole Sunday checking out options in the 'Luxury Homes' corridor. Kids have moved out, so don't need such a big place. But resale value aur society maintenance cost kaafi higher side pe lag raha hai. Kya hidden charges ya issues hote hain yahan? Should I be worried about future liquidity?

Agreed, the 'luxury' tag in Faridabad is often just a marketing gimmick. I had a bad experience with a project near Neharpar. Resale value ke naam pe kuch nahi milta baad mein. Plus, the society funds for maintenance usually get mismanaged. Make sure to check their past audits if possible. Ye liquidity ka issue real hai, especially for properties with high recurring costs.
Jo aapne mismanagement ki baat ki, bilkul sahi hai. My friend bought in a 'luxury' society, and they
Neharpar side toh bahut projects aise hain. Dilipidated ho jaate hain 5-7 saal mein hi. Quality issues are rampant.
Same here, I almost fell for a project in Sector 81. They promised so much but delivery was delayed by 3 years. Resale value got hammered. Builders just want to offload inventory. Don't trust the glossy brochures blindly.
Totally relate! I'm also looking in Faridabad, same budget issues. Maintenance costs are insane, especially for these so-called 'luxury' projects. Kya sach mein worth it hota hai?
Exactly! And hidden charges toh har project mein milenge. Builder sales pitch mein kabhi nahi batate, they just surprise you later.
Bhai, worth it tab hota hai jab amenities use karo. But agar kids moved out, toh gym pool ka kya kaam? Maintenance bas naam ka luxury hai, Sector 35 mein toh bahut zyada maangte hain. Unless you're using everything, it's just a drain.
