Downsizing to Ramprastha Skyz — looking for real experiences
My kids have moved out, so this big house is just too much to manage now. We're considering selling our current place and moving to Ramprastha Skyz. It's a completed project, and the price, around ₹1.4 Cr, seems manageable. We really need a good society with an elevator, and hospital proximity is key for us. Is it genuinely good to live in daily, or just good on paper...? Also, what are the actual maintenance charges like there? Don't want any surprises.

Someone in my family recently bought a property in Gurugram, and the market is quite hot right now, even for resale. ₹1.4 Cr for a 3BHK in a good, completed society might actually be okay if the amenities are top-notch and location is great. But yes, maintenance is key. Has anyone here actually lived in Ramprastha Skyz and can confirm the actual monthly outgo? Like, what's the per sqft charge?
From what I've heard, the builder, Ramprastha, has a mixed reputation. They've had delays in other projects, though Skyz is completed. Just make sure all your documents are clear. My uncle faced issues with another builder near Airport Road because of pending dues. Always get an NOC.
I visited Ramprastha Skyz last month. It looked decent from outside, total 684 units hain. The common areas seemed well-maintained. The elevators were working fine when I was there. Hospital ke liye, Fortis Vasant Kunj is not too far, but that's a drive. Local clinics are closer. But I also felt the price is on the higher side given it's not a new launch.
684 units is a lot! Does that mean the society feels very crowded? Sometimes too many units means too much load on facilities and parking problems. What about parking there?
Fortis Vasant Kunj is a good hospital, but traffic can be bad. Is there anything closer, like within 10-15 mins drive, especially for emergencies? That's a huge factor for me too, like the original poster said.
My friend lives in a society near Badshahpur, and they got possession around 2018. The initial maintenance was low, but now it's skyrocketed. So, do check the current maintenance charges properly, don't just rely on what they quote. You need to see the society's balance sheet.
Ramprastha Skyz? Hmm, ₹1.4 Cr for a project that got possession in 2019, that's almost 5 years old now. Doesn't the price seem a bit high for resale? I'm also a first-time buyer and super nervous about hidden costs. What about the appreciation potential there?
Actually, I checked their RERA number, it's 320 OF 2017, and possession was indeed March 2019. But yeah, the original post mentioned hospital proximity. Is there a good hospital nearby? Aur society mein elderly friendly facilities kaise hain?
Totally agree. ₹1.4 Cr is a big amount, especially when you factor in stamp duty and registration. Maintenance charges after 5 years can be a real headache too. Meri toh budget mein hi nahi aa raha itna.
