posted on 13 MayDownsizing to Sector 35: Hospital access and daily life
Honestly, selling our big house after the kids moved out feels more complicated than buying it was. My wife and I are checking out Sector 35 in Faridabad for a smaller 2BHK flat. We're getting older, so good medical facilities nearby are a big deal. Are there any reliable hospitals close by, like a Max or Fortis, or even good local clinics? Also, how's the general safety for walks in the evening? We just want something manageable and secure now. What about daily grocery access? Any insights on living there for seniors would be super helpful.

Haan, main bhi Sector 35 mein dekh raha hoon ghar. Hospitals ka point bahut valid hai. I've heard about QRG Health City and Asian Hospital being somewhat nearby, but are they really accessible for routine check-ups or emergencies if you don't have a car? Aur local clinics ka kya scene hai? Meri dadi ko toh har mahine doctor ke paas jaana hota hai. Yeh Max/Fortis jaisa toh kuch nahi hai na wahan?
U3 is right. Max/Fortis ka branch toh nahi hai but QRG is decent. Don't rely on public transport for medical emergencies anywhere in Faridabad, always keep a cab service number handy.
U2, QRG and Asian are good, but true, thode drive pe hain. Local clinics toh hain, har market mein mil jaate hain GPs. Max/Fortis type toh abhi nahi hai exactly Sector 35 mein.
Totally understand your situation! Downsizing sounds practical. Sector 35 is definitely on the radar for many first-time buyers too because of the relatively affordable prices compared to Gurgaon. But yeah, medical facilities and safety are huge, especially for seniors. Hope you get some good insights here.
