EMI vs. soaring rents: Is buying finally the only sensible option?
Budget finalised, loan pre-approved for a 3BHK upgrade, but the rental market here is making me rethink everything. My current 2BHK in Sector 57, I'm already paying a decent EMI. But seeing rents jump 30-40% around Cyber City and even in New Gurugram like Sector 89, it just feels insane. Okay, I'll say what no one says: rental yields for landlords are barely 3% on average, right? So, if my EMI on a 3BHK is ₹1.2L, but I can only rent it for ₹60K-₹70K, how is investing for rent still making sense? Matlab, ab EMI pay karna hi better option hai than renting or even buying for rental income? Change my mind.
