Empty nest: The real cost of a 'low maintenance' flat
Spent the whole Sunday checking out options in Sector 150 and Noida Extension. Kids have moved out, so we're looking for a manageable 2BHK, around ₹80L, maybe 3BHK if it fits the budget. Visited Godrej and ATS projects, also checked out Gaursons a bit. Honestly, builder logbook mein construction quality toh sab achhi dikhate hain. But I'm worried about actual finishing, like plaster cracks ya seepage issues after a year or two. And post-possession maintenance charges ka kya scene hai? Godrej mein laga thoda high hai, but facilities bhi zyada hain. Gaursons ka laga ki amenities jo dikhate hain, woh actually deliver karte bhi hain ya bas brochure mein hai? My main concern is getting a good society, elevator, and low maintenance. Has anyone here lived in projects by ATS or Mahagun in Greater Noida for a few years? Kaisa experience raha with actual construction quality and those hidden charges that pop up? And RWA formation, does the builder actually hand over control smoothly, ya phir problems aati hain? Any advice for an empty nester like me?
