Family upgrade: Sohna's real vibe?
Been looking for 8 months now and it's getting exhausting. CGHS Classic Apartments Sohna mein dekh raha hoon, family ke liye. Brochure looks good, but actual daily life, kids ke school, aur neighbourhood ka vibe kaisa hai? My tip: always talk to 2-3 residents, not just sales. Hope this helps someone.

Maine bhi Sohna mein dekha tha, but then I shifted focus to Basai. CGHS Classic ka construction quality kaisa hai? 2008 ka project hai, toh wear and tear toh hoga. Koi major structural issues ki report hai kya?
U11, my friend lives in a nearby society from that era. They had some issues with plumbing and electrical wiring after 10-12 years. It's not a deal-breaker, but factor in some renovation cost into your budget. Don't trust just what the broker says.
U11, construction quality can be a mixed bag for older projects. Best to get an independent inspection done if you're serious. Sometimes builders use good materials but maintenance is poor. Small cracks are normal, but look for anything serious like seepage.
Family upgrade ke liye kids ka school proximity bahut matter karta hai. CGHS Classic ke paas achhe CBSE schools hain kya? Aur daily commute time kitna lagta hai main Gurugram se Sohna tak?
I heard Sohna has water issues sometimes, especially during summers. CGHS Classic mein pani ki problem hai kya? Kids ke liye ye bahut important hai. Also, power cuts ka scene kaisa hai?
U7, I live near Baliawas, which is also Sohna side. Water supply used to be erratic, but it's improved a lot in the last 2-3 years. Still, always good to confirm with residents. Schools nearby are good, though, that's a plus.
U7, water issue Sohna mein common hai, but most societies have borewells or tanker supply. CGHS Classic mein last time I checked, they had a decent backup system. Power cuts toh ab almost har jagah minimum ho gaye hain, but check for full power backup plan.
Sohna mein toh bahut development ho raha hai, especially connectivity to Airport Road. But CGHS Classic ka price range ₹60 L – ₹1.4 Cr thoda high nahi lag raha for a 2008 project? Meri budget toh ₹80L tak hi hai, confusion ho rahi hai.
U4, if your budget is ₹80L, you might find a good 2BHK there. But I would suggest looking at resale in areas like Baharampur Naya too. Sometimes you get better value for money in slightly older but well-maintained societies.
U4, Gurugram market conditions mein ab sab kuch expensive lag raha hai. Par Sohna mein bhi rates badh rahe hain. ₹80L mein toh maybe ek achha 2BHK mil jaye wahan. Par ₹1.4 Cr toh bahut jyada hai for that area and age.

Totally agree with U1. Sales folks will never tell you the full picture. I visited CGHS Classic last month. Interiors thode old-fashioned lage, but space was good. Units 78 hi hain, so it's a smaller community. That can be a plus for some families.
Sahi kaha, brochure mein sab achha lagta hai. Main bhi Sohna mein hi dekh raha hoon, especially around Badshahpur. CGHS Classic ka naam suna hai, but possession date 2008 ki hai. Itna purana project lena theek rahega kya first-time buyer ke liye?
