Faridabad: The true cost of 'low maintenance'.
The advertised 'low maintenance' for new flats in Faridabad often feels like a mirage after you move in. We're trying to sell our big house and find a smaller, manageable 2BHK, perhaps at Goyal Luxury Floors by Rahul Mangla. Our kids have moved out, so we don't need such a large place anymore. My main concern is the actual value we get for the maintenance charges. Builders quote a figure, but then crucial things like reliable elevator upkeep or even clean common areas seem neglected. Is it just me, or do societies promise good service but deliver subpar? For older residents like us, reliable elevators and well-kept green spaces for a quiet evening walk are paramount. Are there hidden charges that appear after possession? How responsive are the maintenance teams for daily issues?

Totally agree with your point, especially about Faridabad projects. Builders show a lot in brochures, but ground reality is different. My uncle also faced issues with maintenance in a new society near Sector 35. Lift issues are a nightmare for seniors. Is it really 'luxury' if basic services are not up to mark?
Haan bilkul! My parents live in a society in Greater Faridabad, and the promised green spaces are now just barren patches. They also struggle with the elevators breaking down frequently. It's
