posted on 2 AprFed up of renting, Sector 98 Noida any good?
Landlord raised rent again, so I'm finally buying. Sector 98 seems decent, but is it actually? Everyone glorifies the metro connectivity, but nobody talks about the last-mile. Is it autos only? And what about water supply? Heard horror stories of tanker dependency. Sector 98 looks nice, but is it actually livable? Change my mind. Or confirm my fears! Sahi hai yaa galat decision hoga?

Check amenities completion before booking, I made that mistake. They promised a swimming pool and gym, still not functional after 2 years!
Rising rates are making it difficult for first-time buyers like me. EMI is going to be huge! Sector 98 is tempting but scared of these issues
Sector 98 is a mixed bag. Good connectivity, but last-mile and water supply are definitely concerns. Weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.
Did you check the crime rate in that area? It's generally safe, but always good to be aware. Noida police website has some data.
So, what did you decide? Sector 98 sahi hai yaa galat? Let us know!
Don't forget to factor in the registry charges and stamp duty. It adds a significant amount to the overall cost.
True. And the hidden charges... parking, club membership... they all add up!
My cousin bought in Sector 98 last year. He's happy with the connectivity, but the water issue is a real problem. Tanker dependency is high, especially during the summer months.
Be careful – some builders are notorious for promising a lot and delivering very little. Do your homework before investing your hard-earned money.
Another thing to consider is the proximity to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Traffic can be a nightmare during peak hours.
Renting sucks, I feel you. But buying in a hurry can be worse. Take your time, do your research. Don't fall for the 'metro connectivity' trap. Dekho, actual mein kitna usable hai.
True that! Builders just use metro as a selling point. Reality is often very different.
Exactly! And maintenance charges bhi dekho. They can be a killer!
Possession mila kya kisi ko Sector 98 mein? Which builder? Heard a lot of projects are delayed due to funding issues.
That's what I'm worried about too. Builder ka track record bahut important hai.
Haan, check the builder's past projects before investing. Don't just go by the fancy brochure.
I'm also looking in Noida. Sector 150 ka avg rate 7k/sqft hai abhi. Sector 98 is probably similar. Is it worth it considering the issues?
Metro is great for going to Delhi, but inside Noida, it's auto-rickshaw raj. And they charge whatever they want! So factor that into your monthly expenses.
I bought in Sector 93A three years ago. Similar situation, fed up of renting. Last mile was a pain initially, but now app-based bike taxis are readily available. Check if Sector 98 has that option. Maybe things have improved since then.
Good point! Bike taxis are a game changer. Sector 76 also has good bike taxi availability.
Haan, exactly! Bike taxis are much more convenient and cheaper than autos. But safety is still a concern sometimes.
Sector 93A is much better developed than 98 though. Infrastructure is better. Just saying.
Bhai, Sector 98 is okay, but honestly, property rates are inflated because of the metro. Check the RERA registration number of the project you're interested in. Delay toh nahi hai?
Sector 98 decent hai? Bhai, rent toh har jagah badh raha hai. Metro connectivity is good, but you're right, last mile is the real pain. Autos are definitely the main option, but e-rickshaws bhi mil jaate hain. Water supply ka issue... depends on the society. Which one are you looking at?
Totally agree yaar, landlord ne toh loot macha rakhi hai. Sector 98 is okayish, but depends on the builder and society. Last mile is autos, mostly. And water, check the borewell situation. Some societies are heavily reliant on tankers, which is a major headache in summers.
Don't just focus on Sector 98. Check Sector 137, 143B bhi. Better options might be available. Thoda aur research karo.
Water supply is a big concern in that area. My friend lives there, and they're constantly complaining about tanker mafia. Check that before you commit. Sahi hai yaa galat, woh aapko pata chalega after thorough investigation.
Which society are you considering? That makes a huge difference. Some are much better managed than others. Also, what's your budget?
