posted on 4 MayFirst month in Aero View Heights, water situation is an eye-opener
Just moved into Aero View Heights last month and honestly, the water situation is a bit concerning. During site visits, they talked about reliable supply but now it feels like we're often relying on tankers, especially on weekends. It's not a full day issue, but definitely noticeable. I'm wondering if this is common with new societies in Delhi or just our building? The tank capacity doesn't seem to last as long as I thought. Things nobody told me before buying, you know? What's your experience with water supply reliability in newer Delhi projects? Any hacks to deal with this?

Is the tanker water included in your maintenance charges, or are you paying extra for every tanker? Because if it's extra, that adds up very quickly. This is crucial for budget planning. Also, what's the frequency of these issues, daily or weekly?
This is a classic 'buyer beware' situation. My cousin bought in Ansal Villas a few years ago, and they faced similar water woes for the first year. What they found out was that the builder was cutting corners on the borewell capacity and relying on municipal supply which wasn't consistent in that area. They had to form a strong RWA and fight for it. Eventually, the builder had to upgrade the water infrastructure. My advice would be to gather all residents and approach the builder collectively. What's the maintenance charge like, do they include tanker costs?
RWA kab banega? Bina strong RWA ke builder sunenge nahi.
Currently, the maintenance charge is ₹4 per sqft, and yes, they're covering the 'basic' tanker costs within that. But the problem is what they define as 'basic'. Weekends pe ya agar koi festival ho, then the supply gets erratic and we end up needing extra tankers, which is when the ₹2500 charge comes in. Transparency is zero.
Same pinch, bhai! It's always something with these new projects.
Aero View Heights, isn't that the project by Pratham Developers? I heard some whispers about their previous projects having quality issues. Have you checked their RERA status or past project reviews properly? ₹2.2 Cr – ₹2.7 Cr is a big investment for such basic problems. What did your builder say when you complained?
₹2500 per tanker?! That's insane! This is a huge hidden cost that no one accounts for during buying.
Yes, Pratham Developers only. Their RERA status is clear, no red flags there, but past reviews are mixed. Some people had possession delays. When we complained, they said it's a temporary issue, will be resolved in 2-3 months as more residents move in and they can negotiate better with the water board. But for now, we're paying ₹2500 per tanker if we need extra, which is a huge hidden cost. This market mein itna mushkil se ghar milta hai, aur ab yeh sab.
Yaar, I totally feel you, OP! This is exactly what scares me about buying new. We were looking at a place in Alaknanda a few months back, and the society there was also facing similar issues – constant reliance on tankers, especially in summers. The builder always promises 24/7 supply during visits, but the ground reality seems different. Is Aero View Heights a new project or already partially occupied? Because sometimes it improves once all phases are complete and infrastructure catches up. But at ₹2.2 Cr – ₹2.7 Cr, water should be a given, not a luxury! What's the RWA saying?
Totally agree with the price point. ₹2.2 Cr mein bhi tanker mangwana pade toh kya fayda? This is ridiculous.
Sahi pakda hai! Aero View Heights ka toh abhi just possession mila hai. RWA abhi form ho rahi hai, bas meetings chal rahi hain. Builder, 'Pratham Developers' bol rahe hain ki DDA water line pressure kam hai, isliye tanker mangwa rahe hain. But how long will this go on? It's been a month already and it's not even peak summer.
