First-time buyer in Sohna, daily life concerns
Sector 82 in Sohna seems promising on paper, but I'm really worried about the actual daily living experience. As a first-time buyer, I'm eyeing a 2BHK around ₹90L, maybe Godrej or Emaar, but these practical things scare me. Heard good things about connectivity, but what's traffic really like during peak hours, especially towards SPR or Cyber City? Is it a daily nightmare? Also, how bad is the waterlogging during monsoon? My parents keep saying Gurgaon has drainage issues, and I'm not sure if Sohna is any different. Are power cuts frequent? And is DG backup generally reliable? These little things add up. What's the real vibe living there day-to-day, anyone can share their experience?

While we're discussing Sohna, prices are definitely attractive compared to properties closer to Airport Road, where 2BHKs are touching 1.5 Cr easily. But with current interest rates, even 90L is a huge EMI burden for many of us. Godrej and Emaar are big names, but does anyone have actual possession updates for their Sohna projects? Builder delays are the biggest headache these days, RERA ke baad bhi kuch builders apni marzi karte hain.
Emaar ka thoda mixed reviews hain, especially for their older projects. Naya Sohna project ka toh pata nahi, but make sure to check their RERA compliance and past delivery
Godrej Sohna projects are mostly on track, I heard. My cousin booked in Godrej Nature Plus, possession expected next year, as per schedule.
Dekho, every new area has its teething troubles. Sohna is developing, so traffic will be an issue for a few more years, that's a given. But the prices are still relatively lower than main Gurgaon, which is a plus for first-time buyers like us. I'm more worried about the infrastructure – drainage aur power cuts ka kya haal hai? Kisi ne experience kiya hai monsoon mein? Meri mummy toh darr gayi hai.
Power cuts are frequent, yaar. Especially during summer months, air conditioners ki wajah se. And DG backup? It's there, but the maintenance charges are insane, and sometimes it takes ages to kick in. My society in Sector 81 had a whole day power cut once, and the DG generator itself broke down. Sohna mein bhi same scenario expect karo, it's not a luxury, it's a necessity, aur uski bhi guarantee nahi.
U3, drainage is a real concern. Last monsoon, my sister's society near Badshahpur main road had knee-deep water for hours. Sohna is lower lying, so expect similar issues. Builder claims are often just that – claims, reality kuch aur hoti hai.
Totally agree U1. I visited a friend in Sector 82 last month. Cyber City se aane mein 2 ghante lage shaam ko! It's a proper daily commute nightmare, especially if you work in Phase 5/6. Yeh toh pakka hai.
Bhai, Sohna ka connectivity 'on paper' hi accha lagta hai. Peak hours mein SPR tak pahuchne mein halat kharab ho jaati hai. Don't fall for marketing hype.
