posted on 5 MayFloor-rise premiums: just a builder's trick?
Is anyone else fed up with floor-rise premiums in places like Sector 49? Everyone glorifies higher floors, but nobody talks about getting that premium back in resale. I'm honestly not sure if it's just a builder's trick to inflate prices. Should I just look for good secondary market deals instead? Change my mind.

It's not just Sector 49, it's everywhere in Chandigarh now. Every builder has this 'floor preference' charge. But like the original post says, does anyone actually get this premium back during resale? Or is it just a sunk cost for first-time buyers like us?
Bhai, you hit the nail on the head. Resale mein floor-rise ka premium recover karna bahut mushkil hai, especially once the building is a few years old. Log convenience, location, aur amenities dekhte hain pehle. High floor ka 'view' factor tab tak old ho chuka hota hai.
Totally agree! I've been looking at properties in Sector 49 too and the floor-rise premium is just insane. It feels like they're charging us for air. My budget is already stretched, this just adds to the anxiety. Secondary market sounds more appealing day by day.
Exactly! They market it like it's a luxury, but in reality, who really cares about being on the 15th floor vs the 7th floor after a few years? Especially if the building quality isn't top-notch. I think it's pure profit-making, nothing else.
Haan bhai, same experience. Builders loot rahe hain khuleaam. It's like a hidden tax for a view that might get blocked by another building anyway.
