GDA office lacks basic fire safety gear despite being monitoring agency
Hey folks, you know how we always stress about things like fire safety and building standards when looking for a home or investment? Well, here's something that might raise an eyebrow for our Ghaziabad community. Turns out, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) office itself, which is supposed to be the watchdog for these very things, has fire extinguishers that expired back in 2017, and no basic hydrants or alarms! It does make you wonder about the approvals given to projects if the monitoring agency can't even get its own house in order. On the bright side, they are planning a big upgrade and a new office with modern systems. Still, it’s a bit of a head-scratcher. What are your experiences looking for property in Ghaziabad lately?

It's a tough spot for sure. On one hand, it's concerning that the monitoring body itself has such lapses. It definitely raises questions about the quality of oversight. But on the other hand, the fact that they are planning a big upgrade and a new office with modern systems is a positive sign for the future. Maybe this public revelation will push them to act faster. We just need to be extra diligent while checking builder documents and project status in Ghaziabad.
Bhai, this is India. Sab chalta hai. What do you expect? GDA office khud aise hai toh builders se kya expect karein? They'll just pay a fine or find a loophole and move on. Hum hi bewakoof hain jo itna tension lete hain aur har cheez rules ke hisaab se chahte hain.
True that. Accountability is key. But who will hold them accountable, that's the real question?
No, I disagree. This 'sab chalta hai' attitude is exactly why we face issues. As first-time buyers, our life savings are at stake. We need proper regulations and accountability. My project in Achchheja got stalled for months because of some minor compliance issue, while bigger builders get away with things. It's not fair. This mentality needs to change.
Toh phir Ghaziabad mein property lena safe hai bhi ya nahi? Rates already itne high hain, upar se yeh sab. My budget is already stretched.
Totally relate to this! My builder in Ahinsa Khand 1 faced so many delays because of GDA clearances. Ab samjh mein aa raha hai kyu. They keep asking for documents, then sit on them for weeks. It's a nightmare for buyers like us who just want our home on time. Possession date already shifted twice, aur har baar builder bolta hai GDA se approval nahi mila. This news just confirms my worst fears.
Oh god, same experience with a project near Abhay Khand. They even said 'file missing' once! This GDA news just confirms all our fears. How can we trust the approvals they give out if their own house is not in order? It's so frustrating for us budget-conscious buyers.
Yaar, this is absolutely shocking! GDA, jo humein rules sikhata hai, unke khud ke office mein basic fire safety nahi hai? Matlab, hum first-time buyers kis pe bharosa karein? Meri toh tension aur badh gayi.
