My lease in Indirapuram is up soon, and the new rent quote is insane. They're asking almost 35% more than two years ago for a 2BHK. I work in real estate, but even I'm shocked. Are others seeing this massive jump in Ghaziabad, especially near Vaishali or Vasundhara? Is this actually sustainable, or just a temporary spike?

Actually, it's not just a few cases. I was looking for a 1BHK in Ahinsa Khand II and the prices have shot up significantly in the last 6 months. Brokers are saying demand from Delhi/Noida due to better connectivity and slightly lower property prices (for buying) is pushing up rents. But 35% is still steep. I think the pre-election buzz and some infrastructure projects might be playing a role. But yeah, budget buyers like us are really struggling.
I don't know, 35% hike sounds a bit much, maybe it's just your landlord trying to fleece you? Is this happening across the board or just a few cases? Also, job market toh utna boom nahi kar raha, toh log itna rent kaise afford karenge?
U9, you're right about the job market. That's the biggest concern. If salaries aren't keeping pace, how can rents go up so much? It's making it impossible for middle-class families to save for a down payment. I was hoping to buy in Achchheja next year, but with these rents, saving is tough. Lagta hai abhi rent pe hi rehna padega for longer.
U9, haan yaar, across the board hai. Mere landlord ne bhi 25% badha diya tha.
Bhai, sahi keh rahe ho. Ghaziabad mein toh sab pagal ho gaye hain rent ke maamle mein.
Absolutely! Meri didi ka flat Vasundhara mein hai, pehle 15k tha ab 20k maang rahe hain, woh bhi ek saal ke andar. Abhay Khand mein bhi same story suni hai. Matlab, yeh log kya soch ke hike kar rahe hain? New projects toh utne aaye nahi hain, toh demand itni kaise badh gayi suddenly? Kya ye investment ke liye sahi time hai ab?
U7, exactly! My colleague was looking in Afzalpur and the rates are similar. Plus, many offices are now hybrid, so people are okay with a slightly longer commute if rent is lower than Delhi/Noida. But now Ghaziabad is catching up.
U7, investment abhi riski hai. Wait for stability.
U7, haan demand badhi hai because of metro expansion and better roads. Log Noida se shift ho rahe hain because it's slightly cheaper to buy here. But investment wise, I'd say wait and watch, market is volatile.
Yaar, Indirapuram ka sunke toh hawa tight ho gayi. Vaishali mein bhi same haal hai, ek dost ka 2BHK almost 25% badh gaya hai. Builders toh bas mauka dekh rahe hain.
