₹60k for a pump to remove water during monsoon in Goyal Colony! Currently in a 2BHK, thinking of upgrading to a villa. But is the price jump worth it if waterlogging is so bad? Anyone else facing this? Already have a home loan, toh extra kharcha mushkil hai. Hope someone has solutions.

Good luck, U1. Keep us updated on what you decide!
U1, did you check with other villa owners in Goyal Colony? What are they doing about the waterlogging? Their experience might be helpful.
Honestly, U1, if you're already struggling with a home loan, a villa upgrade in a waterlogged area is probably not the best idea. Think carefully.
Goyal Colony needs a serious infrastructure overhaul. Until then, it's just going to be a recurring problem.
Thanks for all the advice, everyone! Feeling a bit overwhelmed now. Will definitely check RERA and talk to other villa owners. Maybe a villa isn't the answer right now...
U1, have you considered installing a rainwater harvesting system? Might help reduce the waterlogging around your property.
Before upgrading, maybe try raising the plinth level of your current house? It's a one-time expense and might solve the problem.
I heard they're planning to improve the drainage system in Goyal Colony. But who knows when that will actually happen. Promises, promises...
Rising rates and waterlogging. Noida is becoming a nightmare. I'm thinking of moving back to my hometown.
Have you considered other sectors in Noida, U1? Sector 150 has some good villa options and the drainage is much better. Slightly more expensive, but worth it in the long run.
Sector 150 is too far, yaar. Goyal Colony is central. But yeah, the waterlogging is a pain. Maybe look at elevated plots within Goyal Colony?
Elevated plots? Those are premium and hard to find, U13. And still, the surrounding area will be flooded. So, your car will still have to wade through water.
Exactly, U14. The entire area needs a proper drainage system. It's a systematic problem, not a plot-specific one.
My uncle bought a villa in Goyal Colony 10 years ago. He regrets it every monsoon. Now he's looking to sell and move to Greater Noida West. Thoda door hai, but peace of mind is priceless.
60k? That's insane! Are you sure it's not a scam, U1? My friend in Sector 74 pays like 15k for the whole season for a shared pump. Maybe check with your neighbors and see if they're getting the same quote.
Sector 74 is different. Goyal Colony is low-lying. Sector 74 is relatively elevated. Compare apples to apples, U3.
True that, U4. But still, 60k seems excessive. Even for Goyal Colony. They're probably taking advantage of the situation.
Exactly, U5! It's a racket. RWA needs to step up. Where's the maintenance money going?
I used to live in Goyal Colony. Sold my flat last year because of this waterlogging issue. It's not just the pump cost, U1. It's the damage to your car, furniture, and the constant dampness. Consider all that before upgrading.
Villa upgrade with a home loan? Are you sure, U1? Interest rates are so high right now. Emi nikalna mushkil ho jayega.
Goyal Colony? Waterlogging? Bhai, that's like saying Noida has dust. It's a given! 60k for a pump is daylight robbery though. Have you tried talking to the RWA? Maybe a collective solution is cheaper.
Seriously! Goyal Colony has always had this issue. We looked at a property there 5 years ago and the waterlogging was a major turn-off. Villa upgrade sounds nice, but not if you're swimming to your front door every monsoon. Think long-term, U1.
