Hidden charges after moving into Marwaha Luxury Homes
₹30 lakh extra after possession for my flat in Marwaha Luxury Homes, and I'm fuming. Just moved in last month, and the maintenance charges are way higher than advertised, plus stamp duty was a nightmare. Mehta Villa Ananyata buyers, did you face similar documentation hassles or unexpected costs? Seriously, what's with these builders?

Totally agree with the frustration. Builders need to be more transparent.
Yeh sunke toh aur darr lag raha hai. I'm looking at a 3BHK in Mehta Villa Ananyata, and the broker assured me all costs are upfront. But reading this, I'm thinking twice. The current market conditions in Delhi are already so volatile, and property prices are through the roof. Is there any way to get a written guarantee from the builder about no hidden charges before signing?
I had a similar doubt for a project in Ansal Villas. What I did was ask for the final payment schedule with all possible charges, including property tax estimates for the first year. It's not a 'guarantee' but gives you a clearer picture. And verify the carpet area vs super built-up area very carefully.
U4, written guarantee toh mushkil hai, but you can insist on a detailed breakdown of all charges in the Agreement to Sale. Including IFMS, maintenance deposits, utility charges. Check the RERA agreement carefully. Don't rely on broker's word.
Mehta Villa Ananyata mein toh aisa issue nahi suna yaar. My cousin booked there last year, and they said the process was quite smooth, considering it was a completed project. But yes, builder ke hidden charges se bachna mushkil hai. Price range high hai toh transparency expect karte hain.
Oh, that's reassuring to hear about Mehta Villa Ananyata! Good to know some builders are transparent.
Bhai, this is so common! My friend faced something similar with a project near Anand Vihar. They quoted one price, and then kept adding 'utility connection charges' and 'club membership fees' after booking. It's like they hide things on purpose.
