Hyderabad investment: Hidden maintenance costs killing investor ROI?
Since January I've been shortlisting flats in Hyderabad, specifically looking at places like Sattva Lake Ridge for investment. I'm based in Dubai, so can't do a site inspection myself, which is a huge concern. Okay, I'll say what no one says: everyone glorifies new projects, but nobody talks about the hidden costs that come from shoddy construction quality. It seems developers cut corners, and then investors like us get stuck with perpetually high maintenance charges to fix all the issues later. This really eats into the ROI, making long-term hold questionable. I'm worried about finding a reliable property manager who'll actually ensure things are fixed properly without me constantly needing to give power of attorney. Is it even worth investing if the initial build quality isn't top-notch? Disagree? Tell me why.
