Hyderabad investors: how did you verify actual usable space?

Since moving into my Salarpuria Sattva flat in Medchal two months ago, I've had a huge learning curve. Seriously, the super area vs carpet area thing is a major trap. My 3BHK felt smaller than expected, and only later did I connect it to the inflated super area calculation. Always insist on the RERA carpet area in writing before booking, especially for pre-launch offers. Did anyone else get caught by this in Hyderabad?
