Hyderabad project timelines: Are they realistic?

Honestly, I'm starting to think these infrastructure timelines are just a dream. We booked a 3BHK near Narsingi, thinking ORR connectivity would be great for my kids' school. My wife's priority was smooth access. Builder promised possession in 2.5 years, but now it's 3.5 minimum. They keep blaming Metro Phase 2 work. Anyone else seeing this with projects around Kokapet or Tellapur? Are these infrastructure delays normal for Hyderabad? What did you do?
