For families like ours, I've realized checking school admissions and actual commute times for kids is way more crucial than just the carpet area. My wife's priority is safety, especially evenings, and if there are good parks for the children. We even spoke to a few residents about the general vibe, like if it feels safe enough for kids to play downstairs. Honestly, sometimes these small things matter more than the price per sqft. Anyone else have similar experiences or tips for checking out the 'real life' of an area beyond the brochure?
