Investment Hotspots: Hidden maintenance costs ya commute issues?
Investment Hotspots – just moved into a 3BHK here last month. Possession was in March, aur trust me, kuch cheezein nobody told me. Builder ne maintenance charges ka break-up sahi se nahi bataya tha. They quoted one amount, but then after moving in, suddenly a *sinking fund* and *club membership* fee came up. It's almost ₹4k extra every month, matlab ye hidden cost EMI ke alawa budget bigaad deta hai. Also, initial utility connections ke liye bhi ₹15-20k lag gaye. Plus, commute time is okay but public transport options yahan abhi bhi thode weak hain, especially for daily office-goers towards Mohali side. Not sure if this is specific to my society or common in Investment Hotspots generally. Anyone else faced similar hidden charges ya commute issues? Hope this helps someone budget better.

Haan yaar, same here. Meri ek friend ne New Chandigarh mein property li thi, usko bhi initial utility charges mein ₹25k lag gaye the. Builders bas sale tak sab smooth dikhate hain, baad mein asli picture saamne aati hai.
